A federal district court judge has placed an injunction on the Department of Labor’s overtime regulations that were to take effect December 1st. The regulations would have effectively categorized a substantial number of employees as “exempt” and consequently ineligible to participate in PAC activity.
NABPAC counsel Jan Baran is quoted as saying: “…there will be no changes December 1 and there will be no change to eligible PAC members who can be solicited. This injunction and the arrival of the Trump administration make any change unlikely in the foreseeable future.” For a Wiley Rein analysis of this issue from earlier this year, click here.
